Unstoppable UK hard rockers, THE RATTLEBACKS, just keep on rising. The fast-emerging rock ‘n’ rollers have now dropped their killer new single and video, Please Me. THE RATTLEBACKS’ climb over the past twelve months has certainly been a marked one. Coming at you from Brighton, England and officially hatched in 2021, the rampant five-piece are a fireball of talent, intrigue and genuine excitement. Featuring the ball busting rhythm section of Seth Markes (drums) and Jack ‘The Hell’ Hollamby (bass), Coxy (rhythm guitar) and Max Horn (lead guitar) serving the riffs, and the towering vocals of Josh Clarke, THE RATTLEBACKS cannot and will not be halted.
To date, the unbridled quintet have released their debut EP, Kink, which bagged critical acclaim from Powerplay Magazine, Fireworks, HRH Magazine, and Metalized, as well as dropping a continuous stream of singles and videos, all of which secured widespread radio airplay and hearty streaming numbers. A flurry of sold-out headline shows and a number of live performances with Tailgunner have only added to the emerging rockers’ increasing profile.
THE RATTLEBACKS charge again with the release of their hugely engrossing new single and video, Please Me. Guitarist, Max Horn discusses the motivation behind the track: “’Please Me’ is in part inspired by my own struggles in my late teens /early 20’s, and legendary Layne Staley’s tragic final years. Initially setting out to write a song about Layne, I ended up drawing a lot of parallels with my own experiences which really transformed the song into something much more personal than I was expecting. The concept of hating the very thing you’re living for and can’t live without is a very dark one to explore, so the music sounding as positive as it does set against the darker lyrics is a very interesting and complex balance to achieve. With that said, we’ve managed to toe that line rather well.”
Loaded with this scorching new single and with their much-anticipated debut album on the way, THE RATTLEBACKS are destined to be your favourite new band.
