The Ratchets share single ‘Hurricane Condition’
THE RATCHETS “Hurricane Condition” is a quasi-funk marvel; spacey and mechanical, fluid and scratchy. A post-punk torch song; it stars a narrator who is staring down a literal and figurative storm. Bone-simple riffs over a rubbery baseline and spidery beat, the song is all pocket. Written in a land where everything dances – through pelting rain and gusts of wind, the groove catches as you and the band gaze into the hurricane. Gonna be a washout tonight.
