The Dollyrots - Release Lyric Video For 5x5 | Night Owls Album Out Now!
Praise for Night Owls:
"What does growing up look like for pop punks? It looks a lot like The Dollyrots who, on their eight album, are married, parents, and still having as much fun as when they were a fresh, young band out of California." - New Noise Magazine
"Whether you’re a die-hard punk fan of all flavors or someone just dipping their toes into the genre, this album has a track that will resonate. The Dollyrots have crafted yet another unforgettable album" - Folk N Rock
"This non prescription antidepressant should be compulsory" - The Punk Site
After three excellent singles and a Summer full of great live shows, Florida's finest bubblegum punk duo The Dollyrots are delighted to have their new album Night Owls released to the world! Released on Wicked Cool Records / The Orchard, Night Owls is The Dollyrots' eighth studio album, and looks set to be one of their most successful yet. Already winning praises from fans and the rock press alike, Night Owls is thirteen tracks of hook filled, varied punk rock topped with huge choruses - everything anyone could possibly want from a Dollyrots album!
As part of celebrating the release of Night Owls The Dollyrots have dropped a brand new lyric video for the latest single off the album, the hook filled 5+5. Celebrating the everyday but no less loved positive aspects of relationships (particularly when someone doesn't realise how great they are), the new single is definitely another 5...plus 5 (see what we did there?) for singer / bassist Kelly Ogden and guitarist Luis Cabezas. Check out the lyric video for 5+5 below.
5+5 is available to stream along with the rest of Night Owls on your platform of choice on this link.

To hear all about how and why creating Night Owls was such a great experience, here's Kelly to tell all:
"You know how they say a band’s 1st album is usually their best? Well I think because we had time for this one, you know, since the World stopped, it’s a lot like a 1st album. We had so many bits and pieces and once we could finally get into the studio it all just flew out of us, like we had been holding something vital & urgent in for years. Because we had. If you love The Dollyrots you’ll love “Night Owls". If you don’t know The Dollyrots, you’ll probably love it too."
For their new album (their 8th), The Dollyrots have enlisted the services of long-time collaborator John Fields (Jimmy Eat World, All Time Low, Meet Me At the Altar) who has handled production duties for the record alongside Kelly and Luis (except for Hey Girl, which also has Stevie Van Zandt on production). Mixing was also done by John Fields, Recording and Engineering was done by John Fields and Luis, and Mastering was handled by Will Quinnell at Sterling Sound. The album was recorded across three locations - Creation Audio Studio B in Minneapolis, Renegade Studios in New York City and Harmonic Mermaid in The Dollyrots home town of Tampa, Florida. Night Owls artwork was created by Spencer Alexander.
