"One bigtime jet-propelled trio."- The Jersey Sound

Renowned Rock n Roll figure Marc Ribler, a multifaceted artist (singer, songwriter, musician, and producer) who has served as the
longtime musical director for Little Steven and the Disciples of Soul,
is living proof that dreams can indeed materialize.

Ribler explains, "Like so many of us, I grew up with the Dick Cavett show. In retrospect it is eminently clear that Dick was one of the most important presenters of the rock 'n' roll renaissance, not to mention introducing all the key players in every awe-inspiring and earth-shaking event happening in our culture in the 60s, 70s and beyond.

I had a dream that one fine day I wrote a song called “Dick Cavett”, In some 5th dimension magical, mystical reality, Dick heard the song, loved it and asked if I’d like to come to his house to make a music video. Either I’m in a 60s time warp tripping my ass off, or this dream has come true. Many thanks to Dick and his lovely wife Martha - who also appears in the video."

The “Dick Cavett” video was directed by longtime Cavett collaborator
Robert Bader and produced by SiriusXM Underground Garage personality
Rich Russo and Bader.

Ribler and his star-studded entourage -- which includes Sopranos actors Maureen Van Zandt ("Gabriella Dante") and Vincent Pastore ("Big Pussy") -- pay a visit to Cavett's Connecticut residence, proving the old adage that the show must go on…

Featuring vintage clips of iconic guests like Jimi Hendrix, John Lennon and Yoko Ono, Janis Joplin, and many more from The Dick Cavett Show, Ribler's "Dick Cavett" music video is a nostalgic, affectionate, and irreverent homage to the namesake of the song.

March 4, 2024 will mark 56 years since the culture-defining Dick Cavett Show premiered on ABC. The Emmy award-winning program featured interviews with major figures in pop culture, rock and roll, jazz, politics, art, literature, sports and beyond.

Dick Cavett's influence extends beyond the boundaries of his show. His numerous film and television appearances include iconic works like Forrest Gump, Annie Hall, Cheers, The Simpsons, The Tonight Show and Saturday Night Live. Cavett has also appeared on Broadway in The Rocky Horror Show and Into the Woods. His influence lives on through the work of television icons like David Letterman, Jimmy Fallon and Stephen Colbert- all of whom have welcomed Cavett to their own shows.

Co-written and co-produced by Ribler and Stevie Van Zandt, "Dick
Cavett" is the latest single off 'Armageddon', the new album from Marc
Ribler's Story Road.

His band Story Road, features Ribler on guitar and vocals, Charley Drayton on Drums and Jack Daley on bass. For the latest album 'Armageddon', the trio hunkered down in a rock n roll bunker called Dug Deep Studios and poured their hearts and souls into Ribler’s songs during the cold dark days of the COVID 19 pandemic.

Prior to his role as musical director and guitarist for Little Steven & The Disciples Of Soul over the past several years, Marc Ribler served in the same capacity for Darlene Love and longtime Rolling Stones backing vocalist Bernard Fowler. He has performed with rock and soul royalty such as Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen, Carole King, Elvis Costello and Bettye Lavette.

Marc has been in the music business since he was a 14-year-old New Jersey kid. “I started out playing the Jersey bars, the high school dances and all the storied Jersey shore Rock & Roll haunts like The Fast Lane and Stone Pony in Asbury Park,” says Ribler. He graduated to songwriting and production work, getting his first cut as a writer at age 23, then a development deal with RCA Records. Marc’s songs have charted in the American Top 40 as well as Canada and abroad.

What others have said:

"Marc Ribler Offers Post-Pandemic Hope on New LP"- Ultimate Classic Rock

"Marc Ribler and the band deliver the verdict on contemporary society in deadpan electric rock ‘n roll. Head nods and Beatles-esque folk harmonies add to the wry, enjoyable effect."- Americana Highways

"When Marc isn’t putting together amazing bands for me, he’s writing great songs and has been doing it for years. His new album for Wicked Cool plays like a greatest hits collection. He can do it all."- Steven Van Zandt

"The Whole World Awaits You represents the culmination of a fifteen-year span of songwriting that covers a period while Ribler was actively touring and working as a Musical Director for several artists. One thing definitely shines through all the songs and that is Ribler’s desire to talk about the highs and lows of human experience without taking himself too seriously."- Glide Magazine

"Guitarist Marc Ribler, musical director for Little Steven and the Disciples of Soul, steps into the spotlight with the release of “Shattered,” a driving East Coast heartbreak rocker oozing West Coast Laurel Canyon style."- American Songwriter
