German rock band THE DEADNOTES are proud to release their third studio album Rock 'n' Roll Saviour today, 21st February 2025, via Grand Hotel van Cleef.
To celebrate the news the band have revealed a video for new single ‘American Sightseer’, which is available to stream and download on all good digital service providers.
‘American Sightseer’ is an irresistible hit that takes place in the dazzling nightlife of Berlin and processes a break-up and tells a story about self-(re)discovery. As the band say, it’s all about “the doubts and internal dialogues you have where you admit things to yourself in order to forget them, only to accept them the next day.”
The band also recently announced their first batch of album tour dates, with the first leg of the tour taking place in Germany starting in March 2025 as a four-piece with Felix Overhoff on drums and Paul Hofer-Bottomley on piano, saxophone and percussion duties.
THE DEADNOTES have played more than 600 stages all across Europe, so fans can rest assured that this is just the beginning of their live schedule revealed for the record, and UK shows will be announced in the near future.
Clear evidence that the band have finally “arrived”, Darius Lohmüller and Jakob Walheim took their time over the past few years to develop the new record, and boy did they succeed—now more than ever, The Deadnotes have found their trademark sound.
On their third full-length, Darius Lohmüller and Jakob Walheim update the audiovisual aesthetics of artists like Huey Lewis, Tom Petty and the rock'n'roll of the 1980s for our modern times. It’s unfiltered, pure music that could only exist because of the two artists' blind trust and love in each other. Nothing is off the table between the two musicians, who've been playing together since their childhood.
Along with the help of their fellow live musicians Felix Overhoff on drums and Paul Hofer-Bottomley on saxophone/keyboards, Rock 'n' Roll Saviour sounds playful, wild, and bursting with the spirit of euphoria.
At the end of this album, you’re left fulfilled; it’s a record that may not be a concept album in the conventional sense, but nevertheless tells a story in ten snapshots that is ultimately about the music in all things. Songs about not wanting to compromise on anything, ever.
On Rock ‘n’ Roll Saviour, THE DEADNOTES confront the hardship of everyday life with a romanticism that never becomes naïve but is ever aware that sometimes things must get worse before they can get better.
But they do get better.
