THE CHASE joined onstage by Indie Music legend Jon McClure from Reverend & The Makers at sold out Nottingham show!

INDIE MUSIC LEGEND JON MCCLURE SURPRISES FANS & JOINS RISING BAND THE CHASE ONSTAGE IN NOTTINGHAM

“The Chase are my new favourite band” - Jon McClure, Reverend & The Makers

Friday 19th May, The Chase performed to a sold out crowd at the 400 capacity Metronome in Nottingham. Fans were treated to a special guest appearance from Reverend & The Makers front man, Jon McClure.

Jon McClure, frontman of top 10 charting band Reverend & the Makers, surprised gig goers at Metronome in Nottingham last Friday by coming on stage to perform his biggest hit "Heavyweight Champion of the World" with indie up & comers, The Chase.

Jon first approached The Chase when he saw the band were following in his footsteps and performing in fans living rooms. "Thinking of new ways to promote our music. & give back to fans, house shows gets us directly in front of fans in an intimate location for them and their friends. Jon inspired us to do this and when he reached out we couldn't believe it". - Tyler, The Chase frontman & guitar.
'We've been fans of Reverend & The Makers since we were kids, they were one of the first bands we saw live when we were about 12 years old, back in 2009 at Heaton Park when they were supporting Oasis. We had to have the day off primary school to go to the gig!" -- Dion, Drums.

Safe to say the atmosphere in Metronome was electric throughout the bands 1 hour headline set, they performed tracks from their latest EP, 'Bonzo Bonanza', and fan favourites from their debut EP, 'Not The F*cking Game Show' (titled for obvious reasons!)

Band Bio
Metropolitan & melodic, The Chase are a blend of cultural influences that pay tribute to their council estate roots. Over the years, the band have gained a dedicated fan-base that has launched them into the indie music scene & beyond. From debut shows at some of the best UK festivals (Isle of Wight, The Great Escape, Y Not, Splendour), to sold out UK tours & support slots with The Kaiser Chiefs, Dualers, The Rifles, The K’s, The Clause & more, the lads have been tipped as one of the biggest breakthrough bands on the scene by press, promoters, radio & anyone who see’s them live.

Formed in their pre-teens, the multi-instrumentalists have a multicultural background that has inspired their sound. Brothers Tyler (frontman) & Dion (drums) were born & raised in Notts with Scottish & Caribbean heritage. With cousin Luke on the bass & keyboard warrior/ co-writer James, the result is a sound that is both uniquely British & undeniably infectious.

From The Beatles to Damian Marley, you will hear the impact their upbringing has on their writing & performance. Frontman Tyler is equal parts rugged, glam & real. By day a labourer, but by night he's commanding the stage in leopard print bringing strong Marc Bolan vibes. He describes his fashion as “Champagne taste with a lemonade budget” - which is the most accurate thing we've ever heard. “Our live show is theatrical & full of showmanship, I couldn’t do it any other way. We want the crowd involved, we love it when they’re singing back at us, it’s part of the experience for us & them.”
