The Bird announces new single

The new single by rising Danish electro pop artist The Bird (Yunus Rosenzweig) is a reflection on personal ambitions and the feeling of inadequacy.

"I Like It" is a story about chasing a goal that one cannot define. The Bird reflects on his own choices and decisions, and the sense of inadequacy it brings. He sings lines such as "Mysterical, my enemy/I got a lot of dreams but they’re hurting me/I’m driving fast, but moving slow/X-ray of my arm, I got dynamite bones".

The sound of the song is inspired by pop artists of the 2010s like Lady Gaga and marks a new era in The Bird's universe, which has mostly delved into genres such as eurodance and dubstep. Lately, The Bird has been busy during the Copenhagen Fashion Week, where he performed at Icon Visions’ show and made the soundtrack for Sophia Khaled’s show, which was featured in DAZED's highlights of Copenhagen Fashion Week 24. The fashion scene serves as a perfect platform for The Bird's universe, which revolves around seeking new aesthetic expressions and trends.

The Bird has released EPs "Ballads by The Bird" and "THIEF", as well as the single "Angel" in collaboration with Debbie Sings. He has previously performed at Copenhagen Contemporary and Distortion, supported First Hate and collaborated with artist Esben Weile Kjær. The Bird has created a DJ mix for the record label Posh Isolation for their radio show on NTS. Alongside his The Bird project, Rosenzweig produces music for other artists, including Debbie Sings, Sofaygo, and the swedish rap collective BNO.
