Globally-touring, deep-thinking and sonically-adventurous Utah four-piece The Backseat Lovers announce their return to the UK & Ireland for the first time in over two-years, announcing a run of five new tour dates, opening at London’s Electric Ballroom on Wed 25 June 2025.

As part of a long-awaited return to Europe, the band, renowned for their unforgettably intense and energetic live shows, will visit Dublin, Nottingham, Glasgow and Manchester, combining intimate venues with the grand ballrooms and theatres that fans have come to expect. Tickets for all shows go general sale at 10am on Fri 4 April 2025.

On their last visit the band enjoyed a run of SOLD-OUT dates in support of 2022’s Waiting To Spill album, packing historic venues including London’s 2,300-capacity O2 Kentish Town Forum, playing songs of notable introspection and no small ambition.  Quoting influences as unbound by time and genre such as Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Weezer and Radiohead, The Backseat Lovers’ songbook flows from epic soundscape to heart-quickening alt-rock anthem effortlessly.

On a tour that takes them first to Paris for a warm-up show at the intimate Théâtre Les Étoiles (Fri 13 June 2025) and concludes with superheated major festival dates in Spain (Mad Cool) and Portugal (NQS Alive), The Backseat Lovers’ overdue period of reacquaintance with their broad church of fans cannot come to soon enough.

“The last year and a half or so we’ve been several million miles away from the stage,” shares front man, Joshua Harmon. “Leaning onto walls made of sound and laying under trees made of leaves. Embracing the fractures, shining flashlights down dark hallways where we don’t tend to go. Not all prepared. Not all put together. But there’s something moving there at the end of the hallway and we just have to get up and go see what it is. Show our eyes to bright burning light. Could be as soft as an evening sky. We’ll have to see.”

"We’re so grateful for all of our fans, and we can’t wait to come and share our hearts, stand in the same room breathing the same, hot air, making LOUD LOUD sounds and soft soft whispers.”

All of the confirmed upcoming The Backseat Lovers UK & Ireland 2025 Tour Dates are as follows:

Wed 25 June: London, Electric Ballroom

Sat 28 June: Dublin, National Stadium

Mon 30 June: Nottingham, Rescue Rooms

Tue 1 July: Glasgow, SWG3 TV Studio

Wed 2 July: Manchester, New Century Hall

Tickets are on general sale on Fri 4 April 2025 at 10am local time via booking links listed at: www.thebackseatlovers.com

The Backseat Lovers released their last album Waiting To Spill with Polydor in the autumn of 2022, following-up to the group’s acclaimed 2019 debut, When We Were Friends, which racked up over 340 million global streams and featured the Top 20 Alternative hit, Kilby Girl.

The four band members, Harmon (vocals/guitars), Jonas Swanson (guitar), KJ Ward (bass) and Juice Welch (drums) met while in high school and finished up their first EP, Elevator Days, just prior to their graduation. Their electrifying live shows have garnered them a significant fan base, already selling out tours across the UK and Europe and performing to huge crowds at festivals such as Lollapalooza, ACL, Outside Lands, Shaky Knees, Newport Folk Festival and many more.
