The Afro Nick Releases New Single “Get There Before Noon (LA Mix)”

Los Angeles, CA – The Afro Nick, an innovative voice in the indie rock scene, is thrilled to announce the release of  latest single, “Get There Before Noon (LA Mix),” - out now. This track encapsulates a unique blend of alternative rock influences and personal storytelling, promising to resonate deeply with fans and new listeners alike.

Born in Chania, Crete, and now based in Los Angeles, The Afro Nick’s frontman Nick Anastasakis draws inspiration from his diverse musical journey, which began with early memories of gypsies playing guitar on the streets of his hometown. His experiences shaped his artistic vision, culminating in his dynamic sound characterized by infectious guitar riffs and poignant lyrics.

“Get There Before Noon” was recorded in three renowned studios in New York City—The Bunker, The Creamery, and Sear Sound—during his exploration of the vibrant local music scene. Additional recording and mixing were done in his home studio, incorporating Dolby Atmos technology. For this track, Nick teams up with bass player George Athanas and synth player Leonardo Genovese, who is a Grammy winner and performs in top venues, festivals and arenas around the world, such as the Hollywood bowl and Bonnaroo Music festival.

The inspiration for this song came after a late-night hangout when The Afro Nick found himself racing against time to record for another artist. “I woke up with a hangover but had to get there before noon,” he recalls. “I grabbed my acoustic guitar and recorded a voice memo while drinking my coffee. And yes, I made it on time.”

The message behind the track is simple yet profound: “You only have one life. You gotta do what you have to do and do it as soon as possible. Hopefully, you get there before noon so that you enjoy the rest of the day!” This sentiment encapsulates The Afro Nick’s artistic ethos—encouraging listeners to embrace life and seize the moment.

With a background that includes forming the indie rock band “Stray Blue” and touring throughout Crete, The Afro Nick has a rich history of performing live. He has plans to start gigging in Los Angeles soon and is looking forward to a West Coast tour in early 2025.
