Toronto, ON - Windsor-based dream-pop and shoegaze band Talking Violet is thrilled to announce the release of their second full-length album, Everything At Once. Known for their signature fusion of shoegaze, grunge, and alternative rock, Talking Violet’s sophomore LP promises to be their most introspective and sonically immersive work to date.

The album was produced by Justin Meli (Dizzy, Crown Lands) and recorded at 80A Studios at Universal Music Canada in Toronto, as well as Chalet Recording Studio in Uxbridge. It was mastered by Heba Kadry, renowned for her work with Björk, Slowdive, and Sufjan Stevens. Everything At Once builds on Talking Violet's reputation for lush soundscapes and emotionally potent lyrics, reflecting the band's growth both musically and personally. The band has been championed by SiriusXM with steady rotation on The Verge, and recently showcased their talents at NXNE, further establishing themselves as a rising force in the Canadian music scene.

Talking Violet’s vocalist and guitarist, Jillian Goyeau, shares her thoughts on the inspiration behind the title track:

“Everything At Once, the title track, was written in a moment of genuine identity loss for me while many of my personal relationships were changing. ‘It’s Gonna Be Good’ still sits with that grief, but newly opens up space for my experience and voice to be valid for the first time on the record. This record helped me see myself as a person, rather than a mediator of my surroundings.”

The band, consisting of Jillian Goyeau (vocals, guitar), Jayden Turnbull (guitar, vocals), Jeremie Brousseau (drums), and Dylan Iannicello (bass), has always drawn influence from the dynamics of the "loud quiet loud" genre. Talking Violet layers shimmering melodies over overdriven guitars, creating soundscapes that feel both nostalgic and forward-thinking.

Jillian continues:

“Jayden brought this idea to another level when we started writing these songs, and I feel the instrumentals grew to emotionally speak so much on their own. Tracks like 'Coercion,' which started with Jeremie’s drum part, and 'Beach Baby,' a brainstorm from Dylan, show just how collaborative this record was for us. Everything At Once feels like a sunshower, making room for both the storm and the sun.”

The album's lead singles, including "Scatterbrains," have already set the stage for the full release, with themes of identity, change, and self-acceptance running throughout the record. Tracks like "It’s Gonna Be Good" and "Coercion" capture the band's emotional depth, while "Beach Baby" offers a meditative instrumental journey.

Listeners can expect Everything At Once to be an emotionally resonant, sonically expansive exploration of the band's growth over the last few years.
