Stefski & Hutch Want to Harmonise Chaos in New Rock Single 'Selling Lies' Ahead of Album Release
Humanity, as always, stands on the brink of war and violence. Even democratic countries are shaking in their foundations and are increasingly worried about what is coming. This is a time when artists cannot remain aside and must proclaim their values. For Stefski & Hutch these are tolerance, freedom and openness. The duo formulated through the lyrics of their new songs the theory of a revolution of balance, in the search for a path to harmony. They try to achieve it through pure alternative rock with a pinch of psychedelia. “Selling Lies” is a protest song addressing the confusion resulting from the flood of information and disinformation. Thanks to a huge production and mixing job, Stefski & Hutch achieved to define their sound, and it might remind You a bit of some of Your favourite bands, but they keep sounding fresh, with a genuine voice in the front, huge guitars and a very punchy groove.
Reflecting on the track, they share: ”'Selling Lies' perfectly encapsulates our musical style, from rock with diverse influences—here, a heavy riff, a grungy verse, and a britpop-infused chorus that transports the listener elsewhere. The purpose of the song is to tell the audience to think by themselves and challenge what may seem evident, that’s the price of liberty".
Stefski & Hutch is a rock band founded in 2016 by a songwriter born in Paris and a guitarist, composer and producer from Warsaw. Very "guitar-orientend" in their approach but still keeping their sound fresh. In 2024 they will be releasing a new album that truly defines their style, from Indie to Grunge, Classic Rock to Metal, through Hard-Funk, Britpop and Prog and so on.
The release of “Selling Lies” will be followed by the music video in March and then two more singles before the album on the 26 of April.
