SOUNDS & SCENARIOS HAVE RELEASED “TROUBLE WILL FOLLOW,” THE STORY OF A HINGE DATE GONE WRONG
Boston, MA alternative rock outfit Sounds & Scenarios have released their second standalone single of the year in “Trouble Will Follow” across streaming platforms.
“Trouble Will Follow” is the direct follow-up to their anthemic summer jam “Pink Lighter,” which was released just a few months ago. With a subdued, thought-provoking instrumental lead-in, the relatable lyricism shines through. Lines as “I wonder if you lack the self awareness / To recognize that people see right through / That deep down you know that your life’s a whole mess / And everything that goes wrong, it’s on you” deliver a bitterness that cuts through the track, hitting all of us that have ever felt like they don’t have their life together square in the chest.
However, when you hear the meaning behind the message, you’ll understand the bitterness is absolutely warranted. “If I can be blunt, I wrote the lyrics for ‘Trouble Will Follow’ after a Hinge match had come to our release show for Cherry Blossom Season,” says vocalist Tyler Chase. “They had drank a bunch and then rather than listening to the other bands before us, they put their headphones in and blasted Machine Gun Kelly and sang along to it really loudly. It was super rude and selfish, and I just kind of word-vomited about the experience.”
The rest of the band adds “What’s special about ‘Trouble Will Follow’ is that it’s the perfect bridge between our old sound – what we’ve always been known for, really – and what’s to come. It’s heartfelt and bitter while showcasing this new heavier rock direction you’ll hear more of in the future.”

Originally starting as a solo project in 2015, Boston emo/alternative-rock outfit Sounds & Scenarios have evolved over their years to find their unique sound in an ever-changing world. But one thing has remained constant in their nearly 10-year run: honest emotions displayed through high-energy rock music.
