Rising London singer-songwriter Siobhán Winifred has released her debut EP 'Don't Do Well Alone' - out now on Chess Club Records. The new EP features the previously released singles "Lungs" and "Don't Do Well Alone", and a new collaboration with Stevie Bill on EP highlight "Killers". The EP arrives on the same week Siobhán's track "Lungs" was selected as BBC Radio 1's Introducing Track Of The Week. Siobhán has also been announced to support The Snuts on tour this November & December.

Carving out a unique space of her own, Siobhán Winifred has cultivated a passionate and loyal following for her deftly pop-tinged, rousing indie-rock. With themes that approach community, friendships and human-connection, personal growth and healing, Siobhán's songwriting is marked by an unflinching vulnerability and relatable depth that belies her age.

Speaking on the release of her debut EP, Siobhán said:

"I wanted ‘Don’t Do Well Alone’ to be the EP title because it really encapsulates the feeling running through each song. They all cover mental health, feeling lost and alone, and the decisions we make when we feel like that. I also kind of see it as an imperative. You shouldn’t do well alone. You’re supposed to have a community, a support system, people to lift you up. So it’s almost a reminder to myself, not only do I not do well alone, but I shouldn’t do well alone - that’s the whole point."

From the quiet intensity of EP opener "Lungs", the gut punching emotion of "Stay For Good", and the EP's soaring title track "Don't Do Well Alone", Siobhán Winifred's debut EP starkly contrasts the isolation of personal demons with an exhilarating freedom and potency, matched by the feverish energy of her live performances.

With early inspiration touch-points found in Avril Lavigne, Amy Winehouse, Lily Allen and Paramore, more recent influence for Siobhán comes from the work of Sam Fender, Phoebe Bridgers & Boy Genius and Rachel Chinouriri: "I’ve seen all of them live and came away a different person after each gig" - notes Siobhán.

This year alone, Siobhán has ventured on tours across the UK & Ireland with Rachel Chinouriri, Nieve Ella, and The Academic, has opened for Stevie Nicks at BST Hyde Park, and in July of this year was chosen as a Spotify RADAR UK & IE: First Listen artist, following in the footsteps of The Last Dinner Party, CMAT and Olivia Dean.

Kicking off this October, Siobhán embarks on a debut headline tour of her own. Igniting a frenzy among fans upon announce, dates in London and Glasgow dates sold out almost instantly, with Bristol and Birmingham dates looking set to follow suit.

Born & raised in Dorset, UK and of Irish lineage, Siobhán Winifred released her first music independently in 2022, and it wasn’t long before industry tastemakers started taking notice, with her singles so far racking up spins from Mollie King, Jack Saunders, Nels Hylton & Maia Beth at BBC Radio 1 as well as praise from BBC Introducing’s Jess Iszatt, and coverage from the likes of NME, The Line of Best Fit, DIY, DORK, CLASH and more.

The singer-songwriter has had a whirlwind 2024 so far, already amassing over 1 million streams across DSPs and 2 million views / 240k likes on TikTok, as well as signing to famed tastemaker label Chess Club Records, now counting the likes of Alfie Templeman, Coach Party, SOFY & Pixey as label mates.

Siobhán Winifred's debut EP 'Don't Do Well Alone' is out now, released 27th September on Chess Club Records, available to purchase here. Siobhan hits the road this week - starting with Neighbourhood Festival in Manchester on the 5th October, before headline dates in Glasgow, Birmingham, Bristol and London. Siobhán Winifred tours with The Snuts this November and December.
