SINGLE REVIEWS: The 95 Allstars - Black Spoon

Surrey's The 95 Allstars showcase raw, unapologetic talent on their stunning new single 'Black Spoon'.

'Black Spoon' booms in on a barrage of distorted bedlam before introducing fuzzy vocals overlaying the chaos. There's a funky groove and grungy vibe. The vocals are melodic with a slightly sinister but fully captivating air of confidence. The chiming fuzzed up chords dual with the thrashing drums. It's a track that could be straight out of the early 90's grunge scene with a hint of shoegaze distortion.

It's bold, ballsy and beams with self assurance. The extended outro gives the band a moment of indulgence to really show what they can do. It sounds like it would be at home of a movie score maybe backing a slow mo car chase!

'Black Spoon' is structured yet chaotic, dark yet an easy listen and completely enthralling. The 95 Allstars are incredibly talented musicians and 'Black Spoon' gives them a platform to take the listener on a journey through everything they're capable of.

I'm into all kinds of music the more obscure the better (my music taste is definitely better than yours šŸ¤ŖšŸ˜œ) with my fave band being The Wonder Years.
