SINGLE REVIEW: Yup Beauchamp - Washed Up

"Washed Up" by Yup Beauchamp is an undeniably vibrant and catchy track that exudes playful energy, characterized by the seamless blend of jangly indie guitars and honest, relaxed vocals. The song compels with its wonderful nonchalance and infectious bounce, bursting with jubilant hooks and boundless charisma.

The unexpected shift in pace towards the end, while undoubtedly musically superb, felt somewhat out of place within the overall joyful atmosphere that the song had meticulously crafted. The short form radio edit omits this ending and provides an uninterrupted burst of energy, allowing listeners to maintain the upbeat and buzzy high the song offers from start to finish.

In summary, "Washed Up" (in its full form) is a testament to Yup Beauchamp's musical talent. The track showcases his versatility in crafting different emotional moods within a single composition. While the downtrodden ending may not be my personal preference, it adds an experimental layer to the song that may resonate with some listeners, appreciating the dynamic range it presents.

"Washed Up" provides an engaging musical experience, even if the conclusion in the full version doesn't entirely align with my taste.

Both versions are below, have a listen and let us know which you prefer!
