SINGLE REVIEW: YAKI DAH - Do Me Wrong

Formed just under a year ago Swansea newcomers YAKI DAH deliver an enthralling rock meets metal anthem on debut single 'Do Me Wrong'.

Combining elements of 70's blues rock with more modern metal noise, 'Do Me Wrong' is a groove driven track bursting with attitude and funk. Coming in on a screaming riff and protesting drums the deep raspy vocals are introduced and the tone intensifies to a high energy barrage of sounds.

The vocals morph and change; sometimes well rounded, sometimes distorted and fuzzy while at others screaming and menacing. There's a bellowing guitar solo and overall grand, exhilarating sound.

Great debut from a band still in its infancy. I'm looking forward to seeing what's next.
