SINGLE REVIEW: Trashcan Dance - Go Go Dancer

Helsinki garage rockers Trashcan Dance are back with their first single of 2023 'Go Go Dancer'.

The track is the horrifying story of what happens to a formally happy-go-lucky go go dancer after she has lived through her personal hell. A chilling tale of what trauma can do to a person.

Coming in on a thundering drum beat teamed with an electrifying riff 'Go Go Dancer' sees the band head in a more street rock direction while retaining some of their horror tendencies. Glamorous and flamboyant with a DIY, garage rock edge the vocals are beautifully imperfect which really adds to the shock factor of the track.

While in part serious and thought provoking, the overall feel of 'Go Go Dancer' doesn't take itself too seriously. Trashcan Dance is here to be noticed, to put on an exuberant, energetic show that whilst leaving you feeling a little uneasy also raises a smile.

Whining electronica is backed with heavy riffs and chaotic drums. 'Go Go Dancer' is a lively, quirky listen that's sure to become a mosh erupting live favourite!
