SINGLE REVIEW: The Ineffectuals - Beyond the Iron Curtain

Having fallen head over heels for punk and all its subgenres in 2023, 'Beyond the Iron Curtain' ticks all my boxes, giving off some serious old-school Bad Religion vibes. Fast, high-octane with stunning melodic vocals, it has definite Greg Graffin connotations. Churning riffs, epic solos, and splashy percussive drums bring together this political stomper.

Perfectly encapsulating the punk mantra of writing songs that give a voice to the people, 'Beyond the Iron Curtain' is a wonderfully rhythmic blast at the dissatisfaction with the status quo of politics. Addressing the leaders' pretense of caring, the fake promises, and the yearning desire of normal folk to be free of corrupt, clueless leaders.

'Beyond the Iron Curtain' is perfect, flawlessly executed, with a wonderful retro sound that gives old-school punk a voice in the modern age. I love it!
