SINGLE REVIEW: The BEER BAND - Out of Time

The BEER BAND is a trio from Delaware County, PA, who have spent the last 20 years proudly identifying as a bar band. As they put it, “We don’t have a press release. We’re just three dudes that record music.” Their cheeky demeanour adds a playful element to their music, making the listener feel at ease even before hearing the song. Their ambition is clear: “Just looking to get more exposure and hopefully become rich and famous.”

In ‘Out of Time’, a gentle acoustic guitar introduces a thoughtful and calming atmosphere, complemented by charming, homely vocals. The beautiful harmonies create a warm sense of nostalgia, drawing listeners in. As the track progresses, it ramps up with vibrant jangle-pop guitars reminiscent of Teenage Fanclub, showcasing the band's ability to infuse energy into their sound.

The song maintains an uncomplicated 90s indie rock essence, enriched by elements of psychedelia that evoke the 60s. The catchy melody is enhanced by a captivating Latino guitar interlude, which diversifies the overall sound and highlights the band’s multifaceted approach. This combination of thoughtful instrumentation and engaging melodies culminates in a great tune that carries a warm, inviting, and laid-back energy, making it a delightful listen that resonates with both old-school and contemporary vibes.

By day I'm a Leaks, Condensation, Damp and Mould Resident Liaison Officer and by night I'm CRB's admin bitch, reviewer extraordinaire, point and hope for the best photographer, paperclip monitor and expert at breaking anything technical then expecting Scott to fix it!

I'm into all kinds of music the more obscure the better (my music taste is definitely better than yours 🤪😜) with my fave band being The Wonder Years.

I'm an Ipswich Town fan and have an unhealthy obsession with hedgehogs!
