SINGLE REVIEW: Shock Value - Rockstar

Abounding with positive, feel-good energy South Dakota's Shock Value regresses their listener to youthful days filled with dreams and hope on their epic new single 'Rockstar'.

Repeating the line "I wanna live in the moment", 'Rockstar' is about living life to the max, not letting others stifle you or kill your energy. Powering through in the fast lane, taking all the opportunities that come your way. It's a song about having fun and making the most out of every day.

Anthemic and catchy, it's a stadium-ready tune. Endearing in its confidence and infectiousness. 'Rockstar' blasts with high-octane energy while being charmingly melodic.

Surfy guitars pair with pummelling drums and punchy riffs fueled by urgency and desire. It thunders and roars through two and a half minutes of fun and uplifting pop-punk noise. Glittering with rhythmic sparkle at every opportunity

The vocals are wonderfully driven with just a hint of attitude, and the killer chorus will be stuck in your head all summer and beyond!

There's a great sense of nostalgia while also being fresh and exciting. Shock Value are exceptional, bursting with purpose and determination. 'Rockstar' is a fantastic tune that I guarantee you'll add to your playlists! Excellent stuff. I love it!

I'm Amy a Norfolk girl, currently residing at the seaside.

Age: eternally 21 (I’m really Peter Pan!).

By day I'm a Leaks, Condensation, Damp and Mould Resident Liaison Officer and by night I'm CRB's admin bitch, reviewer extraordinaire, point and hope for the best photographer, paperclip monitor and expert at breaking anything technical then expecting Scott to fix it!

I'm into all kinds of music the more obscure the better (my music taste is definitely better than yours 🤪😜) with my fave band being The Wonder Years.

I'm an Ipswich Town fan and have an unhealthy obsession with hedgehogs!
