'Drowner' is a wonderfully angst-laden slice of post-punk, coupled with shimmering alt-rock featuring fuzzy, gritty grunge elements and addictive indie guitars. It channels EMO themes of selfishness and poor choices that lead to turmoil and relationship breakdowns. It vividly expresses the pain caused by the chaos a single-minded focus on self-absorption can create. The notion that once you embark on a darker path, the journey back isn't easy.

The addictive uptempo energy of the track contradicts its emotional themes. It delivers a hazy, 90s-inspired sound with catchy hooks, frantic drums, and resounding riffs. It spontaneously juxtaposes vibrant vibes with crashing lows, allowing authentic realisation to permeate through the wonderful melodic vocals.

'Drowner' is blissfully melodic, catchy, and infectious. It serves as a sincere, authentic anthem for those who recognise that the pain is a result of their own choices.
