SINGLE REVIEW: Meat in Space - Outta My Head

Noisy, disruptive, chaotic, and dysfunctional, 'Outta My Head' epitomises garage rock at its most raw. Rugged, erratic guitars smack over fuzzed-out drums as the vocals shout above. It takes DIY to a whole new extreme; it's like the person who paints their entire room neon green and adds orange furniture.

It clashes like wearing floral and stripes together. It hits like a smack in the face with a broom. It doesn't make sense, it doesn't fit together. Every element of the song duels with the others in an attempt to take centre stage, but somehow amidst all the confusion, it just works!

It's a right royal din, sounds everywhere and very little structure, but the end result is a perfectly raw, delightfully enticing garage rock banger!

Amy

I'm Amy a Norfolk girl, currently residing at the seaside.

Age: eternally 21 (I’m really Peter Pan!).

By day I'm a Leaks, Condensation, Damp and Mould Resident Liaison Officer and by night I'm CRB's admin bitch, reviewer extraordinaire, point and hope for the best photographer, paperclip monitor and expert at breaking anything technical then expecting Scott to fix it!

I'm into all kinds of music the more obscure the better (my music taste is definitely better than yours 🤪😜) with my fave band being The Wonder Years.

I'm an Ipswich Town fan and have an unhealthy obsession with hedgehogs!
