SINGLE REVIEW: Killer Kowalski - Nuclear Girl/Nuclear Boy

Oxford, rising stars Killer Kowalski, serves up another slice of unapologetic rawness on their new single 'Nuclear Girl/Nuclear Boy', which follows June's iconic 'Never Drink in Flat-Roofed Pubs'.

Theatrical, arty, and flamboyant 'Nuclear Girl/Nuclear Boy' encapsulates everything Killer Kowalski are about. Casual blasé raucousness and bold self-assuredness. The band delivers their sound with confidence and wit.

Laddish charm teams with determined riffs, angular guitars, and pummelling drums to create an eruption of high-octane punk that balances retro with modern. Drawing influence from The Clash and contemporary bands such as Idles or The Libertines.

Ferocious vocals growl and abound through social commentary detailing colonial cliques and outsiderism. A journey through the angst of life and desire to be included presented in a more lighthearted yet still impacting and sceptical fashion.

The Killer Kowalski lads have perfected their art, compelling with authentic sounds delivered with drive and resolution. They're fresh and exciting!

Amy

I'm Amy a Norfolk girl, currently residing at the seaside.

Age: eternally 21 (I’m really Peter Pan!).

By day I'm a Leaks, Condensation, Damp and Mould Resident Liaison Officer and by night I'm CRB's admin bitch, reviewer extraordinaire, point and hope for the best photographer, paperclip monitor and expert at breaking anything technical then expecting Scott to fix it!

I'm into all kinds of music the more obscure the better (my music taste is definitely better than yours 🤪😜) with my fave band being The Wonder Years.

I'm an Ipswich Town fan and have an unhealthy obsession with hedgehogs!
