SINGLE REVIEW: kayge - Riding in the Rain

I'm not usually a fan of slow-paced ballads, but 'Riding in the Rain' is stunning. You can truly feel every bit of heartbreak coming through in the beautiful, serene vocals.

Shifting from a haunting piano ballad, it creatively introduces psychedelic fusion of trip-hop's slower tempos, and swirling synths to add a layer of complexity to its atmospheric soundscape.

The vocal harmonies are beautiful, with the two voices blending flawlessly as majestic strings are introduced, immersing the listener more and more into its whirlpool of emotions.

A captivating, ambient listen, 'Riding In the Rain' is more than a song; it's an experience, encapsulating a feeling of unease, a voyage into the depths of a troubled soul. A beautiful sound that weaves a tapestry of genres to deliver its heart-wrenching message; a poignant moment of self reflection within the turmoil of heartbreak.
