SINGLE REVIEW: Hats Off Gentlemen Its Adequate - Burn the World

London progressive duo Hats off Gentlemen It's Adequate dishes up an emotional deluge of soft symphonies and haunting melodies on their beautiful new single 'Burn the World".

Released in aid of Prog The Forest, an environmental fundraising festival that donates to the World Land Trust.

'Burn the World' is a spellbinding soundscape of gentle guitars and gripping solos. It's musically moving as it churns through darkness and elevates to a stunning eruption of a high-impact finale. Backed with glowing strings it feels like a tranquil lullaby colliding with a nightmare as it plays out a journey of destruction.

The astonishing, artistic, theatrical vocals roll with unwavering elegance while the delicate harmonies are incredible. The vocals have a real serene quality and Morrissey likenesses.

'Burn The World' tells the harrowing account of how humanity is slowly destroying the world. Tearing down forests, eradicating the countrywide, and obliterating everything in its path. Driven by greed and lack of conscience. Conveyed with grace and heartfelt sincerity 'Burn the World' shares the uneasy stance that of all the choices that could have been made to make things better, we've chosen ruination leaving the planet a shell of its former self.

Hats Off Gentlemen It's Adequate are exceptional musicians, each instrument meticulously placed to provide a fitting backdrop to the darkened themes. The songwriting is incredibly thoughtful, dealing with a subject that deserves to have more light shed on it, with eloquence and dignity.
