SINGLE REVIEW: Four Faces - Old Scars

Dublin 4 piece Four Faces flawlessly blend synth laden EDM with groove heavy rock on their melodic banger 'Old Scars'.

Taking influence from the smooth tones of pop and the frantic energy of post rock the band have created a dynamic, refreshing sound that isn't afraid to push genre boundaries. The synths are majestic with infectious hooks while the riffs are raucous and anthemic. Rhythmic instrumental interludes add further complexity to their layer sound.

There's elements of shoegaze-ish mystery mixed with killer, dirty bass and rowdy drums as 'Old Scars' journeys through the feelings left from broken relationships. The moments of engulfing quiet reflection as well as the contemplation of being young and directionless, lost with no plans or goals for the future.

'Old Scars' is a powerful lyric presented in a creative multifaceted style that will appeal to a whole cross section of music fans. It's accessible while also heavy and impactful with stunning vocals and unapologetic originality. Four Faces are exciting, daring to be different. I can't wait to see what's next for the band.
