SINGLE REVIEW: Eloise Kirkpatrick - Fire Driven

Take a moment to let the fact that Boston native Eloise Kirkpatrick is only 17 years old. Her latest single 'Fire Driven' is wise beyond her tender years. Her songwriting is mature, fervent, and delivered with dignity and the utmost sincerity. Pure and passionate, I'm blown away by the fact someone still so young has created a sound so professional and so emotional.

Simplistic and beautiful, multi-instrumentalist Eloise is a talent to be admired. 'Fire Driven' tells the story of watching a family member lose themselves to mental health struggles and addiction.

Sophisticated and heartfelt 'Fire Driven' gives a real sense of vulnerability, like a pouring of pain and feelings. Haunting pianos and hand drum percussion carry the song through its beautiful melodic stance. Eloise's vocals are exquisite with stunning clarity and warmth. It's clear to see the song means everything to her and she's dripped all her emotions into it.

The delicate verses are twinned with the bolder chorus which is powerful and heartbreaking. The impact of 'Fire Driven' is immense and evokes genuine feelings of empathy and compassion.

A wonderful majestic listen. Eloise is sure to only go from strength to strength.
