SINGLE REVIEW: Drella - Divide

I love Drella! Raw, raucous, and unapologetically honest. These lads know how to write an anthemic punk song. High energy, and high attitude you can tell they're making the music they love to listen to.

The boys from Bradford blast on their latest single 'Divide'. Channelling themes of the economic struggles faced in the modern day. The frustrations of a country in turmoil, inequality, constant lies, scapegoating from those in power, and a failing society. Along with the challenges faced by bands who spend far more than they ever make, battling daily to stay afloat. A general feeling of the rich getting richer while the rest of us remain suppressed and in our place.

Drella embraces their platform to thunder home their disparity at the politicians, the feelings of loss in a world that's become so power hungry. They're a voice for the people delivering real, honest, relatable lyrics.

'Divide' is a high-octane, totally authentic punk track with raging riffs, a catchy hook, dirty bass, and booming drums. The vocals are fiery with fervent integrity.

Drella are here to make you sit up and take notice, unafraid to say what they think. Authentic and honest they’re the band to Bradford on the map!

Amy

I'm Amy a Norfolk girl, currently residing at the seaside.

Age: eternally 21 (I’m really Peter Pan!).

By day I'm a Leaks, Condensation, Damp and Mould Resident Liaison Officer and by night I'm CRB's admin bitch, reviewer extraordinaire, point and hope for the best photographer, paperclip monitor and expert at breaking anything technical then expecting Scott to fix it!

I'm into all kinds of music the more obscure the better (my music taste is definitely better than yours 🤪😜) with my fave band being The Wonder Years.

I'm an Ipswich Town fan and have an unhealthy obsession with hedgehogs!
