SINGLE REVIEW: circle round a sphere - time

'time' is a richly immersive experience. Sombre and downtrodden, it exudes a sensation of emotional defeat—an acceptance of depleting time, things drifting away, running out into the abyss.

It feels like a search for validation, an expectation to be uplifted during periods of unrest, only to discover that you're left on your own. It's a struggle to stay afloat, a deep longing to make more of time, a yearning to break free from control. The notion that maintaining a certain status quo can preserve time, but ultimately leads to the realisation that nothing can prevent time from slipping away.

It's a highly emotive encounter portrayed with sublimely expressive instrumentation. Crashing, jagged, and uncoordinated, the music reflects the confusion and uncertainty in the lyrics—a melodic yet eruptive fusion of soaring guitars, distorted, resonant bass, and compelling drums that drive the track forward.

The vocals maintain a powerful yet intimate quality, with haunting versatility. 'time' magnificently and gracefully transitions from its mellow, somewhat ethereal starting point into a thundering cacophony of disruptive noise and an unsettling impact.

Amy

I'm Amy a Norfolk girl, currently residing at the seaside.

Age: eternally 21 (I’m really Peter Pan!).

By day I'm a Leaks, Condensation, Damp and Mould Resident Liaison Officer and by night I'm CRB's admin bitch, reviewer extraordinaire, point and hope for the best photographer, paperclip monitor and expert at breaking anything technical then expecting Scott to fix it!

I'm into all kinds of music the more obscure the better (my music taste is definitely better than yours 🤪😜) with my fave band being The Wonder Years.

I'm an Ipswich Town fan and have an unhealthy obsession with hedgehogs!
