SINGLE REVIEW: Checo Cadena ft Areonova and Santa Paula - Sweet Dreams

Having overcome geographical limitations, Checo Candena emerges with 'Sweet Dream,' a stunning collaboration with Areonova and Santa Paula. The idea was born through Zoom communication, and the project flourished upon an in-person meeting.

'Sweet Dreams' is a hypnotically peaceful account of abandonment in love, conveying the idea of being left for another with transfixing delicacy and melodic heartbreak.

The wonderfully sweet vocals captivate with their tender tenderness and tranquil tones. Mixing sombre, vulnerable themes with a bright, hedonistic sound, it strikes as a show of resilience in times of trauma. The idea that while your heart may be breaking, there's a brightness, a feeling of hope.

Musically delicate, with majestic guitars and breathtaking keys, it possesses a simplistic sound with a peaceful, ethereal, lullaby quality. This wonderfully complements the vocals and creates an intimate soundscape with a unique perspective and closeness.

'Sweet Dreams' is a fragile listen, a kaleidoscope of emotions channelling feelings of brokenness alongside the realisation that as hard as the present may be, you will move on, and one day, how you feel now will be nothing more than a memory.
