SINGLE REVIEW: Bardia - Nothing but heartbreak

Entering on a stunning ethereal dreamscape, 'Nothing but Heartbreak' swiftly escalates into a full-paced pop-punk deluge. Catchy hooks and an infectious East Coast, early 2000s vibe characterise the track.

Bardia skillfully diversifies his sound by shifting his vocals, moving from wonderful melodic tones to injecting elements of rawness that nod to fellow German rockers Rammstein. The track impeccably showcases the versatility in Bardia's voice and the adaptable nature of his vocals.

The lyrics channel EMO sentiments, delving into the aftermath of heartbreak and the ease with which the other person walked away, leaving you a crumpled mess. The disparity between the significance it held for one party and the apparent insignificance to the other is vividly portrayed.

The tempo changes effectively convey the pain in the lyrics, oscillating between frantic riffs and impulsive drums to a softer, more vulnerable ambience with chiming guitars and the engulfing swirl of synths. The vocals shift to a more modest yet protesting sound that echoes beneath the music.

'Nothing but Heartbreak' emerges as anthemic, catchy, fast-paced, yet tender and open. Bardia is a talented musician flawlessly translating his musical vision into a kick-ass tune.
