SINGLE REVEIW: Carl Green In Particular - My Conscience the Nag

'My Conscience the Nag' is a jolly, jangly little ditty with fun, up-tempo guitars that are sure to get your head bopping with their cheery indie pop demeanour.

The lyrics take a more macabre look at how the mind can be a constant grinding nag. It nags and niggles away, telling you that nothing's ever enough or working overtime when you want it to be still. The urgent nature of the melody perfectly replicates an unsettled mind that refuses to take a moment to be calm. It's like having an orchestra in your head constantly playing at full volume when all you want is a moment's peace to hear what's around you.

Carl's vocals are wonderfully sincere with a friendly tone and an honest nature. 'My Conscience the Nag' is a beautifully buoyant sound, while the lyrics are sure to resonate because we all have those days when our thoughts can't be silenced, and our minds become our own worst enemies.
