Simple Jake releases debut single ‘Holly Could’

This song was created as part of Radium Records song creation challenge and mixed and mastered by Bradley Denniston. It’s the debut track from Jake James-Vogel’s new project, Simple Jake.

The concept is to create fast, danceable New Wave/Post Punk songs with modern production techniques.

Jake has been making music for over 30 years. His past bands include Sexual Freedom Riders with Grammy winning mix engineer Bassy Bob Brockmann, solo folk rock album The Radical Move, and garage rock band The Stick.

Jake took a 5 year hiatus from music to raise his daughter, however, last summer he felt a void that needed to be filled with music and released “Love Yourself” under my his name.

Since then he has been learning from Bradley and upping his modern production skills.

Jake’s hope is to find an audience that appreciates “Holly Could” and to grow a fan base as he continue to release more New Wave inspired tracks.

I enjoyed the tracks energy and and erratic, arty stance. Its quite a quirky, unconventional listen.
