Hailing from Sheffield, South Yorkshire, CRUZ are a four-piece Indie band that take their cues both from the rich musical heritage of their hometown and from across the annals of indie rock. The result is a multifaceted band keen to showcase their idiosyncratic sound, and expand the horizons of the indie scene.

Since the release of their debut single ‘Life of Misery’ back in June 2022, the four piece have earned crucial early acclaim from both fans and critics alike, but it’s not just on record in which the band have turned heads however.

Building on the success of that debut, CRUZ have been honing their sound and captivating audiences with their high-energy live shows at various venues and festivals both across their native Sheffield, and further afield. Notable highlights include supporting Matilda Shakes at Sheffield's iconic Leadmill and YNOT? Festival.

Not a band to rest on their laurels however, CRUZ are currently in the midst of their second run releases, with tracks such as ‘Take Off the Pressure’ and ‘Make It Right’ already racking up impressive streams on Spotify.

‘Get Away’ is the band’s final track to be taken ahead of their forthcoming debut EP, and wraps things up nicely whilst confirming the band as one of Sheffield’s most exciting new prospects.

CRUZ are:

Sam Thatcher (Singer, Rhythm Guitar)

Tom Cox (Lead Guitar)

Ethan Mockford (Drums)

Jamie Scholes (Bass Guitar)
