Saving Vice Take Over as Headliner of 'The End of Winter Tour'

SAVING VICE TAKE OVER AS HEADLINER OF ‘THE END OF WINTER TOUR’ TO CELEBRATE DEBUT EP ‘COLDER THAN DARK’

Vermont metalcore staples Saving Vice have taken over and rebranded ‘The Hellbender Tour’ to headline ‘The End of Winter Tour’, a celebration of their debut EP Colder Than Dark. After announcing ‘The Hellbender Tour’ just over a month ago, previous headliner Vampires Everywhere pulled out citing other opportunities, leaving Saving Vice to pick up the pieces.

This is not the first time Saving Vice have been left to clean up after an announced tour seemingly falls apart. In May of 2022, the band was set to join the multi-genre ‘Born Dead Tour’, featuring Lil Xan, Dropout Kings, and others. After Lil Xan unexpectedly pulled out of the tour, the remaining lineup were forced to pivot to the ‘F*** Lil Xan Tour’, which received extensive media coverage from the likes of TMZ, NME, MetalSucks, and many more.

Saving Vice vocalist Tyler Small says, “As a DIY band we’ve taken our financial hits recently with our trailer, van, and other tour drop offs, but we were motivated and ready to get back on the road. So, when we found out that Vampires Everywhere were pulling out of this tour, we went into scramble mode. With all of the stuff that’s happened to us up to this point, we were almost better prepared for it honestly, so our entire team jumped on calls for like 8 hours straight with pretty much every single promoter on the tour and we figured it out as we always do.”

With the 5-year anniversary of the band’s debut EP Colder Than Dark upon them, Saving Vice took this as an opportunity to celebrate the release. Colder Than Dark was a major success for the band, peaking at #10 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart, an impressive introduction to the scene fuelled by high quality metalcore and an impactful feature from Rory Rodriguez of Dayseeker on the hit single “Euthanasia”. Despite the success, the majority of Saving Vice’s fanbase have yet to hear these songs live.

Tyler Small continues, “When ‘Colder Than Dark’ came out, it sort up blew up fast, but we weren’t really touring at that time. Once we did start touring heavily, we were already supporting ‘Hello There’, so most of our fans haven’t heard these songs live. With it being the 5-year anniversary of the EP, it was kind of perfect timing to bring back a few of the tracks for our OG fans to hear - and it will probably be the last time we ever play some of these songs.”

With the events surrounding ‘The End of Winter Tour’, it’s undeniable that Saving Vice and the team at Forthright Booking have an unmatched resiliency to adapt and persist. ‘The End of Winter Tour’ is presented by Ghost Killer Entertainment and will feature support from Scythe Gang 666 and Mirror Lake on select dates, hitting 20 cities across the United States from April 13th through May 12th.

ABOUT SAVING VICE

Saving Vice are a proudly independent four-piece metalcore band from Vermont founded by guitarist Robbie Litchfield, who added vocalist Tyler Small, drummer Sam Whelton, and bassist Kenjamin Smiertelny over the following years, rounding out the band’s current lineup.

Since their inception in 2017, Saving Vice have been on an upward trajectory towards being a main-stage act in the metalcore scene. Their debut 2018 EP Colder Than Dark reached an impressive #10 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart, acting as a catalyst for their blend of unapologetically heavy, yet emotionally engaging sound to reach new fans. Since then, there’s been no slowing this band down. They followed up the release with their debut LP Hello There in early 2020, the Binary EP in late 2020, the Dichotomy EP in 2022, and a handful of singles throughout.

Their dedication and consistency has allowed the band to share the stage with the likes of August Burns Red, Underoath, and more at iconic events as Warped Tour, iMatter Festival, and Heavy Fest. Saving Vice are known for their high-energy performances, soaring choruses, and hard-hitting riffs, drawing a crowd wherever they travel.

Saving Vice bring a refreshing sound, energy, and personality to the heavy music scene, while mixing in a healthy dose of nostalgia for fans of early 2000’s metalcore. Often compared to the likes of Motionless In White and Asking Alexandria, the band are at the forefront of the current metalcore movement. With new music on the horizon, there’s plenty more to look forward to from the band Alternative Press once said was the “effective formula to summon the ghost of a MySpace metalcore kid and make them dance.
