NEW EP ‘SOMEWHERE INBETWEEN’ IS OUT NOW - LISTEN HERE

“Shimmering guitars, soaring melodies and anthemic chorus lines… 2023 is going to be the year when Rosellas finally step right out into the front line and their spring UK tour is one not to miss.” - Louder Than War

“Tapping into their hometown's musical legacies they put their own stamp on them, mesmerising and uplifting.” - John Kennedy, Radio X

Rosellas’ big plans for 2023 continue with the news that they will play their biggest headline show to date at Manchester’s Band on the Wall on September 1st. The announcement follows last week’s release of their new EP and This Feeling debut ‘Somewhere Between’ which features their brand new single ‘Come Alive’. Having previously sold out Manchester Academy 3, tickets for the new show are expected to be in high demand when they go on sale HERE from 10am next Friday, May 19th

Rosellas commented, “It’s a real privilege to be playing at Band on the Wall, as we have been to many gigs there. We can’t wait to headline such a legendary venue in the heart of our city. This show will be a visible step up from our most recent gigs, and fans can expect something very special.”

Rosellas have been on fire with their recent tracks ‘Hideaway’ and ‘Switch Off’ earning support from John Kennedy at Radio X as well as an XS Record of the Week while inspiring positive comparisons with the likes of Inhaler, DMA’s and The View. Their live shows have more than matched that trajectory too, almost completely selling out their March UK headline tour, hitting big venues as special guests to Starsailor, and providing the pre-match entertainment at Manchester City

The EP’s new single ‘Come Alive’ is Rosellas at their towering, epic best as they strike a balance between edgy attitude and exemplary musicianship. It’s a song which draws upon influences from the all-time greats of the north-west indie/alternative scenes while also showing that the area’s current wave of rock ‘n’ roll bands are poised to add an exciting new era to their storied history.

In addition to ‘Come Alive’, ‘Hideaway’ and ‘Switch Off’, the ‘Somewhere Inbetween’ EP is completed by two other new songs. ‘Bare Your Soul’ is the EP’s slow-burning centrepiece, constantly growing in stature until it erupts into a psych-tinged wall-of-sound. Led by Drew Selby’s restrained, emotive delivery, the concluding ‘Thunderstorming’ is a more sombre, reflective affair yet arguably the EP’s finest demonstration of Rosellas’ command of fiery dynamic contrasts with a touch of Pink Floyd’s expansive instrumental style. The band wrote all five songs on the EP, which was produced by Oliver Shillito.

This weekend saw Rosellas back in action with a The Great Escape x This Feeling show. They will return to London this Thursday to play John Kennedy’s The Remedy, where they perform alongside labelmates The Native at Signature Brew. Rosellas’ previous shows have included gigs with Planet, The K’s, Andrew Cushin, Black Grape and Starsailor, plus festivals such as Isle of Wight, Truck, Y Not?, Neighbourhood Festival, Liverpool Sound City, Rewired and Stockton Calling.
