Rock Legends Story Unveil Revamped Track Damnation Dawning

Get ready to experience the powerful resurgence of rock legends Story, as they unveil their  reimagined track, Damnation Dawning. Originally penned in 1979 and first recorded in 2013  for their debut EP, this track has been a staple in Story’s musical journey. The original release,  independently produced, featured contributions from iconic musicians including Bob Spencer  (Skyhooks, The Angels, Rose Tattoo), Mick Pealing, Jack Jones (Southern Sons, John  Farnham), Mark Ritchie, and David Briggs (Little River Band).

In 2024, Story breathes new life into this classic with a fresh studio recording that boasts a  revitalized arrangement and contemporary sound. Produced by the stellar team of Mike  Mathews, Martin Pullan, and Mike Cohen, the track also showcases the talents of guest  musicians Aaron 'O Brien, Bill ‘Fozzy’ Folino, and Jim Currell—known collectively as the rock  trio Standing Room Only.

Damnation Dawning offers a compelling blend of nostalgia and modern rock, showcasing  Story’s ability to evolve while staying true to their roots. This latest version not only highlights  the band's dynamic sound but also resonates with both long-time fans and new listeners alike.

Story has long been celebrated for their dynamic sound and rich musical history. Their latest  project, including the newly revamped Damnation Dawning, reflects the band’s unwavering  commitment to producing high-quality rock music. Written by Daryl Storrie, the song explores  an apocalyptic narrative intertwined with themes of heartbreak and redemption, capturing the  essence of lost love and the hope of reconciliation.

With Damnation Dawning, Story continues to cement their legacy as a formidable force in the  Australian rock scene, promising a future filled with more electrifying releases. This track is  not just a revisit of the past but a bold step forward, setting the stage for what’s next in their  illustrious career.
