REPEAT release 'Post-Punk' anthem ๐Ÿ

On June 7, only half a year after their debut, the Swedish stoner rock trio Repeat releases the follow-up album "Rat Race". A high-octane, energetic 18 minute ride.

Repeat is a Swedish stoner rock trio that released their self-titled debut album only a half year ago. They were rewarded with praise by tastemaker media both in Sweden and internationally and now comes the sequel "Rat Race".

Rat Race is the bandโ€™s most intense and energetic music to date. The album moves between stoner rock, punk and post-hardcore. Through nine songs in a total of 18 minutes, the band explores several moods and styles. Songs like "Not Enough" and "Man on the Moon" coincide with the melodious focus track "Reasons".

Repeat says: โ€œReasons stands out as being a more melodic, still heavy, track with a strong verse. โ€œ

Repeat further says: โ€œWe prefer the short format and the recording was mostly 'live'. We've put more time into the lyrics and the album is very much a self-reflection. We also wanted to hone in on how it would feel to play the songs live.โ€

After composing the material, the question is answered. The band has played for an enthusiastic audience since the release and they have several gigs booked in Sweden and Germany. The upcoming album Rat Race received 7/10 in the latest issue of Sweden Rock Magazine (No. 5, 2024) who wrote "quite sweet [songs] where the opening โ€™Man on the Moonโ€™ with its strong chorus provides a perfect opening on a record that reminds us of Bad Religion, Therapy and Queens of the Stone Age."
