PURTENANCE to release "The Rot Within Us" on July 11, 2023

From the small town of Nokia, Finland, emerged a band in 1989, PURTENANCE, which stormed the death metal scene under their original moniker, PURTENANCE AVULSION. Their raw energy, tenacity, and unwavering dedication to the craft have been their hallmark from their 1990 self-titled demo through their debut full-length album "Member of Immortal Damnation."

Withstanding multiple lineup changes, hiatuses, and global challenges, PURTENANCE remains resolute and fueled by the same passion that ignited their path over three decades ago. Now, in 2023, they are set to captivate the world yet again with their latest offering, "The Rot Within Us." This album encapsulates the quintessential PURTENANCE sound — a distinctive blend of heavy, gloomy, and raw old-school death metal that they are renowned for.

Riding the crest of their storied career, the band has released "Transitory Soul of the Righteous," a powerful lyric video that serves as the second single from the upcoming album. A testament to their enduring presence in the death metal scene, "The Rot Within Us," slated for release on July 11th, 2023 through Xtreem Music, will be available in a myriad of formats - 12" LP, CD, Cassette, and Digital. Notably, it will feature Aabeg Gautam from the Nepalese band DYING OUT FLAME on bass and vocals, further intensifying the band's quartet configuration.

This latest creation also carries forward their creative partnership with Chris Moyen, the artist behind the album cover, which continues from their iconic 1992 debut. Alongside the album, PURTENANCE offers 500 vinyl editions (100 splatter and 400 black), and a special cassette release limited to 50 units.

With "The Rot Within Us," PURTENANCE promises to transport fans on a death metal voyage worth waiting for. Don't miss the chance to delve into the depths of this impending masterpiece. Pre-orders are available now, so mark your calendar for July 11th and prepare yourself for an unforgettable journey!
