Post-Punk/ Psych Rockers BUTTERFLY BULLDOZER Announce Debut, First Single Online
A project concept formed in 2021, BUTTERFLY BULLDOZER is a story of space travel energized by the post-punk and psychedelic sounds of Captain Fuzz, 0B-1, Zarkor, Rocket and Professor Tricks aboard the space ship. Ranging from the modern groove of Squid and the loudness of Slift to the noisy pop of Pond, the group’s first release The Great Becoming Of Captain Fuzz is scheduled for release on February 16th 2024 on Belgian label Tempest of Noise.
BTF BDZ is the first single of the EP. A visual and auditory painting of the Butterfly Bulldozer and the crew’s ardent desire to leave the Earth in response to a mysterious call from space. The opening sequence instantly hooks fans of modern post-punk. Short and catchy, the listener is then surprised by a noisy bridge: a raw soundscape that reveals no qualms, like the mechanical internal humming of the ship. The inter-galactical quest continues through a second verse nourished by the tracks of King Gizzard and IDLES, before the crew lands on a sound wall, between guitar fuzz and noise. The song ends with a sneaky pop outro, the final declaration of love by these space desperados to their spaceship.
As the captain says, "I could die, smiling in your arms, you’re my Butterfly Bulldozer".

The debut EP The Great Becoming Of Captain Fuzz is a prologue recounting the meeting of the crew, all motivated to build a spaceship to escape the ecological and social problems of a planet in decline.
The band tells us about their debut: "As a series of humano-droids equipped with a fragment of consciousness is being marketed, the beginning of a new civilizational era emerges, plunging humanity into decline. Not equipped with this fragmented consciousness, the first prototype of this series, OB-1, divides opinions due to its immense power. As a precaution, it will be locked up until the outcome of its destiny is sealed.
From its cell, OB-1 intercepts a phone communication between a certain Captain Fuzz and the individual known as Professor Tricks regarding a mysterious invitation from space. The possibility of an escape from Earth leads OB-1 to organize its escape, inviting its creator, Tank, to join this space quest. OB-1, Tank, Captain Fuzz, and Professor Tricks ready, the crew, however, cannot be complete without their final encounter with the gunner Rocket. Assisted by the latter, the five of them will be able to finalize the construction of their spaceship: the Butterfly Bulldozer."
