Today (November 13th) Cornish-born indie pop artist and tour vocalist/guitarist for The 1975, Polly Money, has announced her new EP T-Shirt Nothing Else (out March 20th via coolOnline / pre save herewith her latest single, i’m not proud." She'll be performing the new single and other songs from the upcoming EP at London's Omeara on November 21st in support of Dora Jar.

"I'm not proud" rides on a quiet groove and explores the addictive complexities of guilt and desire in a relationship. With its smooth, intimate production, the track melds Polly’s sweet-as-honey vocals with a dreamy synth-laden soundscape, 70s-inspired retro keyboard and bouncing acoustic guitar. Effortlessly balancing vulnerability and boldness, “i’m not proud” is emotionally honest, reflecting the tension of fleeting attraction and lingering loyalty. Echoing with tastes of intimacy and bursting with infectious hooks, Polly’s soulful, longing lyricism invites listeners to reflect on the blurred lines between affection and temptation, capturing the internal conflict of wanting more while struggling with the weight of what's already been built. Her ability to blend raw, relatable lyrics with elegantly innovative sonic textures sets Polly Money apart as a unique voice in the modern indie scene.

Polly says of the track:

"'I’m not proud’ is all about playing around with the idea that music and lyrics can convey two different emotions and I love that. it’s bouncy and happy sonically, but also about having a naughty lil crush. It doesn’t take itself too seriously and we had a lot of fun recording it. It just sounds playful and out of all of my music it has some of my favourite moments in it."

The song follows the release of Ross MacDonald’s (The 1975) remix of "Anything," a stunning re-worked version of Polly's autobiographical single about feeling imposter syndrome as a guitarist and vocalist on the road with pop-rock heavyweights, The 1975

MacDonald had praise for Polly and spoke about working with her:

“There’s a certain level of camaraderie and understanding that comes from touring with someone for a number of years - both musical and personal. I feel like Polly and I quickly garnered that relationship on the road and it made making this remix, not just an absolute joy, but quick and with little needing to be said. I feel very lucky to have my first remix be of one of my favourite people to play on stage with and, now, work with in the studio.”

After a whirlwind 18 months joining pop-rock giants The 1975 as a live guitarist and vocalist, Polly Money is emerging from the maelstrom more confident in her craft than ever, with her own material. Garnering praise from the likes of BBC Radio 1, DORK, NME, CLASH and landing spots on multiple Spotify and Apple Music playlists, “Anything” has soared into the realm of indie alt-pop with force. Honing her craft in live spaces, Polly recently co-headlined a sold out show with Yasmin Hass in London last month and will be supporting and playing in Dora Jar's band for a show on November 21st at Omeara London. Tickets are available here.
