Canadian country music artist Peter Peres returns with his first release of 2024; ‘Girl Gets You’ sets a marker for what’s to come from the rising star who is building on previous success of records such as ‘Sold’, and ‘Mess Of Me’ both of which charted on SiriusXM.
Splitting his time between his native city Toronto, Ontario, and Music City; Nashville, TN, Peter Peres has built a strong network within the industry and is collaborating with some incredible talent ensuring he is producing the best music of his career to date, and this latest offering showcases the growth he has undergone in recent months and allows him the opportunity to further build his growing fanbase.
‘Girl Gets You’ is a fantastically crafted track that delivers thought provoking lyrics about walking away from a relationshp only to regret it later; it’s filled with “what ifs”, and “what could have beens” creating a dynamic story arc that listeners will instantly feel connected to.

There are times you can get the person back but in this case, the person doesn't want you back and your left wondering if they could have been the one and you made a big mistake. In life you can never really know exactly who will be your person and this song goes through all the emotions of that and how you feel being in this specific situation”.

Peter Peres is a Canadian country singer from Toronto, Ontario. By working as a photographer and videographer he got to experience a variety of concerts and music festivals which inspired his love for music. Peter’s strong roots to Pop and modern country music express themselves clearly in his sound, where he delivers a flurry of emotions that hits with his listeners.
Growing up, we all had our favourite childhood shows. For Peter it was 90s shows like Pokemon, Arthur and Franklin that helped him discover his ear for music when he started memorizing and singing the theme songs.
In summer 2022, he got to perform at some well known festivals like NXNE & Canada’s Largest Ribfest and headlined his own show at The Painted Lady in Downtown, Toronto. He also had the opportunity to play a few songwriter rounds in Nashville, Tennessee.
In summer 2023, he played six shows around the GTA with Northern Heat Rib Series and got amazing reviews from the crowd.
He released his debut EP “Before & After You EP” on June 3, 2022 and was produced by well known producer Shawn Moore . His first single of the EP titled “Sold” released on July 23rd, 2021 hit Top 45 on CBC Country channel 171 on SiriusXM followed by his second single “Mess Of Me,” released in March 2022, which hit Top 30.
He is currently in the process of working on his debut Album set to release later this year. His lead single “Outside the Frame” released on March 23rd, 2023 hit Top 60 on SiriusXM Top of The Country channel 171.
