Emerging from Portugal, Paula Teles unveils a riveting new project with her single "Jogo do Silêncio," set to be released on September 13, 2023. Teaming up with producer and musician Jorge Lopes, Paula melds symphonic metal, prog metal, and world music, particularly traditional Portuguese sounds reminiscent of the 1940s-1960s rural culture. The track also dives into the psychological nuances of a female character wrestling with madness and neuroses.
Special guest Bjorn Strid (Soilwork, The Night Flight Orchestra) lends his voice as a Portuguese soldier who did not return from the Colonial War, marking his first performance singing in Portuguese. With layers of melodious notes from the Portuguese guitar intricately woven into the fabric of metal, "Jogo do Silêncio" is an ambitious foray into the rich tapestry of Portuguese music.
