NYC Power Pop Champs Joy Buzzer Release New Single "Jeanette"; 'Pleased To Meet You' Full-Length Coming on October 25
New York City power pop champs Joy Buzzer are debuting the new single "Jeanette" off the band's upcoming 10-track LP 'Please To Meet You,' dropping on October 25 via Wicked Cool Records.

The band's Wicked Cool debut album boasts 5 tracks mixed by two-time Grammy winner Carl Glanville. It marks the return of Becker with Kevin Lydon, the singer from their previous garage rock project, The Lord Calverts, who also have a few songs playing on the Underground Garage. Additionally, the album features Askold Buk, guitarist for The Lord Calverts and longtime production partner of Jed.
With a winning combination of catchy hooks and jet fuel, JOY BUZZER has quickly moved up the ranks as one of New York's premier power pop acts. Inspired by bands such as Fountains of Wayne, XTC, Squeeze, Todd Rundgren and Badfinger, JOY BUZZER delivers an abundance of big-time melodies and blissful choruses.
Formed in 2021 by members of The Lord Calverts and the Doppel Gang, the band is led by songwriter/guitarist Jed Becker (also known for his work as composer and music director for the Nick Jr. series’ “Dora the Explorer” and “Go, Diego, Go!” among many others) with Kevin Lydon on lead vocals, KG Noble on guitar, Nick DeMatteo on bass and Mark Brotter on drums.
JOY BUZZER recently performed with labelmates The Chesterfield Kings, Bobby Mahoney, Wyldlife and others at the Sea.Hear.Now Festival after-party 'Asbury A Go-Go' in Asbury Park, NJ. In early-September, the band's previous single "You Don't Even Know My Name" was selected as the "Coolest Song In The World" by Little Steven's Underground Garage.
