Nory-J shares new single ‘Irrelevant, Benevolent’

Irrelevant, Benevolent BIO

Released to close the summer and thus the Windows Down summer tour for Nory-J, ‘Irrelevant, Benevolent’ recites the British indie pop artist’s perspective of an unstable romance fed to a biased third party. The song acts as an acceptance of the storm that often follows after a messy breakup and shows an exploration from the artist into more Bedroom Pop/ LoFi directions. It follows the latest Nory-J era of ‘Secrecy and I’, ‘Nightlife’ and more recently ‘Future Days’ which gained over 35,000 streams and brought 17,000 new listeners to his music, creating

global attention and questions surrounding ‘What’s Next?’ for the artist. Nory hopes to reach his artist goals of reaching BBC Radio 1 and Spotify Editorial playlists and he hopes this chilled out ear worm can do just that.

📰 “It’s great- can’t wait to see what’s next for Nory-J”

- Fern Buckley, BBC Introducing Solent

📰 “A real original sound that shows the artist is not afraid to push boundaries and experiment with all the skills that have been gifted to him and the musicians he chooses to surround himself with.”

- David Chinnery, Rock Generation

📰  “With ‘Irrelevant, Benevolent’ Nory-J has taken the cliché of a break-up song and breathed whole new life into it. The song is as authentic as they come and has an earworm hook that will stay stuck in your mind for the long haul”

- @songsbehindthemusic

📰 “That is a banger”

- Seb Bailey, BBC Radio 1, BBC Bristol, Virgin Radio UK
