Norwegian YouTube sensations Frog Leap are pleased to announce a pair of October 2024 UK live dates, with tickets on sale now.
The band will also play a run of shows throughout Europe and appear at Graspop Metal Meeting 2024 and Rockstadt Extreme Fest 2024.
Finally taking their hit YouTube series Frog Leap Studios to UK stages due to overwhelming demand, the live band—assembled by Norwegian YouTuber Leo Moracchioli on vocals and guitars—also features fellow YouTuber Hannah Boulton (vocals), guitarist Rabea Massaad (Toska, Dorje), bassist Erik Torp, and drummer Truls Haugen (Circus Maximus, Insense).
Moracchioli’s highly successful YouTube channel boasts over 4.6 million subscribers and 1.2 billion views, where the musician has become renowned for his off-the-wall, high-quality metal covers of pop songs.
The multi-instrumentalist has recorded over 400 covers, at a rate of approximately one per week, including hugely popular covers of ‘Sultans of Swing’ by Dire Straits, ‘Hello’ by Adele, ‘Sail’ by Awolnation, ‘Poker Face’ and ‘Bad Romance’ by Lady Gaga, ‘Feel Good Inc.’ by Gorillaz, ‘Chandelier’ by Sia, ‘Africa’ by Toto, ‘Redemption Song’ by Bob Marley, ‘Old Town Road’ by Lil Nas X, and many others.
In addition to his metal covers, he has also produced an "acoustic" cover of ‘Duality’ by metal band Slipknot, using slide whistles, timpani and tuba.
For each video, Moracchioli creates the arrangements, and plays all the instruments, except for a small number of songs in which he has collaborated with other instrumentalists, often requiring at least 50 tracks. Although most of his videos are solo efforts, they sometimes feature his family, a musical guest, or a fellow YouTube artist participating remotely—for his video cover of Michael Jackson's ‘Thriller’ he was joined by Drowning Pool guitarist C. J. Pierce.
The band have previously toured Europe and also appeared at the 30th Anniversary of Wacken Open Air in 2019.
