Making something nostalgic feel brand new, indie-rock band Never Ending Fall today releases their new record American Disco via Create Music Group. A stark genre pivot from their 2020 debut album Space City, the new music feels almost like a different band altogether. But in reality, it's a group of best friends since a fated 4th grade talent show performance. They cite hearing Turnstile's GLOW ON as one of the major moments of inspiration for the kind of energy they want to bring to their own music. The last 5 years have transformed a once hesitant band into one their former selves would be proud of with this release — Stream.

Lifelong friends and bandmates, the Maryland natives made the move to Los Angeles a few years ago to take a serious stab at their music careers. In a strange twist of events, the thing that put them on the map was their hit TikTok series ‘Can it Kirkland’  where they compare name brand liquor and Costco’s Kirkland Signature brand. After becoming beloved figures of the internet, a whole new audience was tuned into their music.

Spending time on the road this last year with Quarters of Change and Sawyer Hill, the concept of writing for the live show experience became a no brainer for NEF. American Disco was recorded in the band’s LA home with Adam Schoeller (WILLOW, lovelytheband, DE'WAYNE) and allowed for the guys to evolve their production chops. American Disco acknowledges the US as a cultural epicenter, one where an artist has the privilege to be influenced by countless sources.

Never Ending Fall shares that, “‘American Disco’ is more than just a new album for us; it establishes a brand new chapter for our sound and image. The album reflects upon heartbreak, new love, old love, the trials and tribulations of life through an indie rock and borderline punk sound. We take pride in our ability to convey all our different inspirations while remaining unique and individual.”

Kicking off the album with today’s focus track “Every Single Day,” NEF doesn’t beat around the bush with the throttle.

“‘Every Single Day’ was written later on in our album recording process,” the band explains. “Despite its late arrival to the record, it’s one of our and our fans' favorites. The song gives hints of mid-2000s rock with powerfully dynamic guitars and drums. Jack sings about the realization of a broken relationship between two polar opposite people. It is one of, if not the most, energetic songs we play live as well. We consider our live set to be just as impactful as the recorded album, so it makes total sense for ‘Every Single Day’ to be the focus track on this record.”

Then we move into the album’s title track, surprisingly one of the last tracks written for the record. “American Disco” and many other songs emerged from spontaneous bursts of creative inspiration. As a unit, NEF believes in riding out a thought until it feels just right. Heavily involved with their active Twitch community, they were able to run ideas by fans and allow that to shape the final tracklist of the record.

Wrapping up last week, Never Ending Fall spent the last month out on the road supporting Sawyer Hill. They streamed each concert on their Twitch channel, allowing for people across the world to feel like a part of the show. In total, the group has collectively played over 1,000 shows, but the last couple years have been a game changer in the scope of their ever-expanding fanbase. Their genuine wantingness to connect with people, previous support for Quarters of Change, and growing musical fingerprint, bring out passionate fans across the globe.

Over the last few months, NEF was included in Spotify’s Fresh Finds Rock and featured as HITS Daily Double’s New & Developing artist to watch. Ahead of their album release, they received early praise from The Boston Globe and Atwood Magazine.
