MIKE FREUND to release single ‘Rectify’ on August 28th

Rectify - Dirty Southern Rock - Similar to The Cold Stars, Gov't Mule, and Rival Sons and Gary Clark Jr. - Big guitars, big drums and descriptive lyrics that tell a story. Rectify opens with the slow growl of an overdriven organ. At 30 sec, the fuzzy drop D tuned guitar joins. At 40 sec the drums begin. The vocals beginn at 50 sec. A guitar solo that would make Zakk Wylde proud begins at Min 3:17. Enjoy!

I was immersed in the blackened imagery of ‘Rectify’ and its noisy, dirty bluesy stance. It’s quite a challenging but satisfying listen. The power in the vocals are stunning. I like all twists and turns as the various instruments and the slow-burning growl are introduced. The chaotic distortion and rumbling, churning bassline and gut-wrenchingly satisfying. The erratic nature of the track is quite enthralling.
