Mega Drive's "Code Walker" is the ninth single to emerge ahead of the upcoming Mega Drive 200XAD album.  
 
Complex and driving, "Code Walker" is an instrumental synthwave piece with a lighter mood and takes on an almost atmospheric air. It's the moment the hero comes to fight back against the darkness, the light piercing the storm. The track is yet another example of Mega Drive's ability to transport fans into a synth laden storyline, replete with neon lights and darkened alleys. Mega Drive continues to provide the soundtrack to all of your retrowave adventures as he continues the story started in 198XAD.
 
Cyberpunk Darksynth artist Mega Drive has announced that his long awaited sequel to acclaimed albums 198XAD and 199XAD, 200XAD is now available for pre-order fromFiXT.
In 2014, Mega Drivereleased the visionary 198XAD, a darkly cybernetic piece of audio horror that quickly became a cult classic and followed it up with an equally dark direct sequel 199XAD in 2019. The recordings found spots on lists of the best dark synthwave albums and earned respect from critics, fans, and creators alike. 

Now in 2023, Mega Drivereturns to that dark realm with the third follow up sequel 200XAD, whose releases thus far from “NARC³” onward have moved the dark dystopian world forward into a new era. Spread across fifteen epic tracks Mega Drive returns to the dystopian sci-fi world delivering a wide range of intensely detailed pieces from the ominous and mechanical part hope and part despair “Threat Signal Loss” to the lighter and more playful “Shadow Dancer.” Mega Drive displays an impressive versatility as he plunges listeners further into a dark world with a complex and exciting soundscape that encapsulates the many themes of his previous works; a dystopian future rife with crime, deceit, and corruption. 

Each new single has earned him placements on popular Synthwave favored YouTube channels such as New Retro Wave and Prime Thanatos.
The enigmatic artist behind the Mega Drive project has established himself as one of the most visionary creators in synthwave, and early releases like VHS, Hardwired, and 198XAD represent essential pillars of the dark synth and cyberpunk synthwave outgrowths of the main genre. Since his first releases in 2012, Mega Drive has gained a diehard following and his albums have become some of the most well-known and well-respected recordings in the entire retro synth world.
