Manchester's Mercury Machine Return With A Remix of Last Year's Excellent 'Second Life' - out July 14th

Pre-Save

Having once been described as “Depeche Mode on crack”, five-piece Mercury Machine have been plying their trade for a number of years now, turning heads across their native UK, but also mainland Europe as well thanks to their unique sound that seamlessly merges pulsating synths and infectious guitars, with deeply rooted DIY attitude that sets them head and shoulders above their contemporaries.

The band has already made an indelible mark, cultivating a devoted following after the release of their critically acclaimed self-titled debut album. Their story doesn't culminate there however. Great art often simmers in the darkness before ultimately emerging into the light. Now, in 2023, Mercury Machine are back to unleash new material that defies categorization, pushes boundaries and expands perceptions.

This exciting journey commences in July through a collaboration with the acclaimed musician/producer Joe Cross of The Courteener on production duties, alongside a Grammy-nominated, gold, and multi-platinum record mastermind overseeing the mastering.

A remix of last year’s release, the fittingly titled ‘Second Life’ is “about the unfairness of being born into a bad situation whatever that may be, but then trying with every ounce of your soul to escape with the help of technology”.

Indeed, the future is very much here, as Mercury Machine unveil their latest creation and release their new material upon the world. Live performances will also follow, captivating audiences across the UK.

Mercury Machine are:

Lee Maguire (composer, vocals and guitar),

Carl Street (bass and vocals)

Kade Daniels (keyboards)

Tim Burge (lead guitar)

Gav Foley (drums)
